<description>so... where is the task? at this stage -one week into the subject, you have not done any work on it? you must try your hand at all the items we examine otherwise your reflective blog will become a diary as opposed to an account of learning. We only learn once we can do ! so you need to do stuff ! come on Dave ! get on with it !

<description>Hi Giuseppe, thanks for the comment!

About &#039;synchresis&#039; -

If you take for example the cue I made with the man riding his bicycle to the reversed guitar: We have inherent associations to the sound of a moving bike from an early age, so my attempt was to recreate and play around with that association by instead of sampling a field recording of a bike, incorporating a guitar melody that screeches subtly through the mix.

There are more of these associations that I played around with in the clip too.
ciao
Dave

<description>Hi Dave, I&#039;ve watched your work and I like your attempt to get a personal interpretation, different from other works. I think your audio track is well done. May you explain please how your sound relates with Chion&#039;s idea?
regards
giuseppe

<description>I did try and get Audiovision out of the library but all the copies had been taken out (I have reserved a copy), also I made the promise to my housemates not my classmates.

Anyway, any feedback you have towards my soundtrack would be greatly appreciated Julio!

Regards,
Dave.</description>

<description>just for the record, we won&#039;t be assessing your classmates ! so any promises made to them can only be rewarded by them... :) further, Audiovision is in our college library, your casual reading of it in a bookshop doesn&#039;t really portray what I would call dedication to the subject...
